2017 ADAC GT Masters, Blancpain Endurance Cup & Dubai 24 – HB Racing – Lamborghini Huracan GT3
Dubai 24
The relationship began with a late call up to help with the 2017 Dubai 24 – following Mark’s Championship success with the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 in the 2016 GT Asia Series with FFF Racing.
The first time back at the Dubai 24 since 2013, this time with HB Racing. Following their succesful year together in GT Asia, Mark was pleased to be re-united with Andrea Amici who joined the other drivers in the team – Sam Tordoff, Norbert Siedler and Herbert Handlos.
Although everyone came together very late in the day, the car was quickly on the pace and the team were confident of a strong result.
Unfortunately, debris from a puncture led to a fuel fire which caused the team to retire the car.
ADAC GT Masters
Running the #6 car with the silver – silver pairing of Florian Spengler and Christopher Zanella, saw a strong increase in performance across the year which included a podium finish in Zandvoort.
Blancpain Endurance Cup
Running the #777 car in the AM – Cup, saw a big learning curve for the team and drivers; as season which saw a finish at the 24 Hours of Spa, a podium finish in Monza, and P3 in the drivers championship for Bernard Delhez
